Featured Exhibitor - Edward J. Snyder
Our Featured Artist for the show is none other than Edward J. Snyder. Ed is a highly accomplished artist with an extensive portfolio of outdoor work.
Edward's artwork is retained in various private and museum collections, including the Springfield Armory National Park Museum, the Woods Springfield History Museum, and the National Fly Fishing Museum in Vermont and in Florida. He has displayed his art at the Peabody Museum at Harvard College, and at the Museum of Fine Art in Springfield. Six of his pieces were on display at the Statehouse in Boston, one permanently .

Wild Turkey License Plate
NEW - Wild turkey license plate on the horizon for the support of the Eastern Wild Turkey, continued development of its habitat, and celebrating 50 years of partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation.
The Massachusetts State Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation recently announced that a new license plate will soon be introduced in the Bay State, with the proceeds benefiting the Wild Turkey in Massachusetts, while allowing the Massachusetts State Chapter of the NWTF, a non-profit 501c3 established in 1983, the ability to continue assisting Mass Wildlife, and other like-minded organizations, with the mission of conserving and improving habitat development, partnering to acquire more open space, while securing the continued success of, arguably, the greatest conservation success story in the history of our state. Registered Maine Hunting guide, Paul Beauregard of PB Guide Service will be presenting a seminar on Bear Hunting in Maine.
Paul has been guiding in the North Maine Woods since 1981. With years of experience and tons of knowledge, Paul has so much to share in his upcoming seminar. This is one you will not want to miss.
In his seminar, he’ll discuss ways to trick the elusive bear. In addition to many hunting tips and tricks, Paul will also cover stand and bait set up. There will be plenty of time to answer questions as it is hard to put 42 years experience into just one seminar.

Ashley Wishall is a full-time guide and outfitter owning Adventures Plus Outfitters. One of the largest hunting operations in Eastern NC. Adventures Plus is located on 18,000 acres of prime North Carolina land that offers vast opportunities for the perfect hunt.
Ashley will be presenting a seminar titled, “Bear Hunting the NC Way.”
Learn in-depth the tactics used to harvest bears in Eastern North Carolina. In addition, Ashley will cover how to improve your skills and tactics for hunting bears where you live also.
Retrieving Pool Demos with the Yankee Waterfowlers
Yankee Waterfowlers Hunting Retriever Club will be conducting dog demos at the Retrieving Pool. Come and see these talented hunting dogs at work.

Yankee Waterfowlers Hunting Retriever Club (YWHRC) conducts training sessions, HRC and AKC hunt tests, and seminars that are designed to develop the “Hunting Retriever”. Their focus is on having fun, training all retriever breeds to participate in realistic hunt tests and preparing these dogs for the hunting season.

We are excited to announce a new Bass speaker to our Fishing Seminar lineup. Spencer Cookson is the Owner & Operator of Berkshire Bass. Berkshire Bass is a tackle shop, guide service, and tournament series located in Sheffield mass.
Spencer is going on his 4th season of professionally guiding in the Berkshires for Largemouth and Smallmouth bass on some of the state's best fisheries. He is personally aspiring to take the next step in his tournament fishing career as he plans to fish The Northern Toyota Series this season. Be sure to catch his seminar, Spencer is known for being a very effective shallow water and sight fisherman.
The 29 Inch Black Sea Bass
Come see a reproduction of this trophy fish! There is an amazing story that goes with this and you need to talk with Bill Hurley to get it.
It starts with “I ate it,” continues with the help of an engineer, a professor, and a U.S. Air Force imagery analyst!
Bill is the owner of Bill Hurley Lures. He made the lure that caught this massive Black Sea Bass and he has all the details to fill you in, so stop by his booth, get the inside scoop that has preserved this amazing fish for others to appreciate for years to come and check out all the lures that Bill makes and sells to the fishing community.
Kids Fun Area
Be sure to take your kids over to the Outdoor Sports Kids Fun Area. There will be all types of fun games and activities going on.
Play a game of Quack Attack or one of the other fun carnival style games that will be set up.
The guys from Pete and Chris Amusements have a wide selection of games and activities that will all take place in the fun area, so be sure to stop in and take part in the fun.
Massachusetts Environmental Police
The Massachusetts Environmental Police will be registering ATVs, snowmobiles and boats at the show. Be sure to stop by and see them. Registrations will be done at the mobile van. The registration process is simple and can be done right at the show, so be sure to stop by the van, get your paperwork, and get registered.

Friday 12 noon - 8 pm
Saturday 9 am - 7 pm
Sunday 10 am - 3 pm
Learn more about the Massachusetts Environmental Police
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will be at the show to meet with military veterans and their family members to assist them with connecting with VA benefits.
Outreach specialists with the Veterans Health Administration, representing VA medical centers in central and western Massachusetts, as well as the Springfield Vet Center, which offers readjustment counseling for Veterans, will be in attendance.
Eligible Veterans can sign up for VA health care at the show.
As a thank you to all those that have served, we will have a special $3 Military Discount at the Sportsmen’s show on Sunday for those with a proper Military ID.
Free Fly Tying Demos!
The Western Massachusetts Fly Fishermen will be providing FREE fly tying demos at the show. If you have an interest in fly fishing, you will definitely want to visit their booth.
Their mission is to promote the art of fly fishing and fly-tying through classes and actual demonstration. They also promote the conservation, improvement and accessibility of cold-water habitat in Western Massachusetts. This organization is focused on the values of good sportsmanship and active stewardship of our natural resources.
They hold meetings at the Elks Lodge in Ludlow on the third Monday of the month at 7pm. Be sure to meet them at the show and catch their fly tying demos.
Caskey Mountain Hunting Preserve
You’ll be seeing plenty of big bucks when you book your next hunting trip at the Caskey Mountain Whitetale Deer Hunting Preserve in Richmondville NY.
You’ll find plenty of opportunities to score a record buck on the preserve’s 470 acre property.
The hunting preserve has some of the best quality whitetail bucks in NY, but that is not all, they are also known for monster turkey. One bird weighed in at 48 lbs! That’s a lot of turkey dinner!
This gives you a good idea of what you can expect at the Springfield Sportsmen’s Show.
